We are currently seeking:

Digital Summer Intern

In order to support our vision to be Best on Water, BW is looking for a highly motivated summer intern to work with our various in-house teams on digital initiatives. Actual tasks will depend on qualifications and departmental needs at the time.

This is your opportunity to get hands-on experience in one of the world’s leading maritime organisations.

Potential responsibilities:

  • Explore opportunities for automating repetitive tasks both on shore and onboard our vessels
  • Align and simplify processes across the organisation through digital solutions and building enhanced user interfaces
  • Support business users on data analytics and in turning our magnitude of IoT-data into actionable insight, for instance through use of Power BI and Python
  • Analyse trends and operational data
  • Explore potential use cases of emerging technologies

Qualifications:

  • Undergoing a MSc degree in Engineering (e.g., Marine Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Economics, Physics and Mathematics) with relevant studies covering information technology, informatics, cybernetics or equivalent.
  • Current 3rd and 4th year students are preferred
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Programming skills an advantage
  • General interest in marine technology may be an advantage

  • Creative mindset with the ability to look for new solutions and way of doing things
  • Thrive on working closely with the business side and focus on generating value to our customers
