We are currently seeking:

COMMERCIAL TRAINEE

In order to support our vision to be Best on Water, BW is looking for a highly motivated trainee that will strengthen the commercial team to support our strong fleet expansion and continued growth plans. Exact assignment in the commercial team following successful completion of the trainee period will be further clarified. We expect the team member to have strong interaction and cooperation with our technical management organisation, BW Fleet Management, in supporting our activities. Our trainee will be a part of one of the leading management program in Norway, Maritime Trainee, which is organized for the industry by the Norwegian Shipowner’s Association (Rederiforbundet). The program lasts for 18 months and combines working in a world leading maritime company with an academic program with five modules in Norway, Singapore and London. This program gives you an outstanding way to start your career. In BW the trainee will spend time in various departments and locations, including on an LNG carrier/FSRU and in BW Fleet Management.

Key responsibilities:

• Be a key team member in the business development for BW LNG, participating in deals from origination to execution and on to contract management

• Conduct market research and analysis on LNG shipping and FSRU sectors

• Build and maintain project and financial models

• Prepare marketing proposals and other related materials

• Support in tender processes

• Assist in following up with existing customers and contract management

• Analyze trends and operational data

• Provide support to and back up for LNG Operations as and when required

• Participate in specific projects as required

Qualifications:

• MBA or Master’s degree in either Shipping, Finance, Business Management/Economics, Industrial Economics, Engineering or equivalent

• Strong analytical and reasoning ability

• Excellent command of English

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Personal qualities:

• High motivation and drive, flexible attitude

• Ability to handle several tasks in parallel

• Structured and well organized

• Proven ability to work independently, but with strong teamwork skills

• Strong analytical and reasoning ability

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural awareness
