Industrial Designer wanted: Shape the future of collaboration

 We are looking for a skilled and ambitious industrial designer to join our Collaboration Devices Design team in Oslo. We are building workplace transformation with our award-winning hardware and software solutions for team collaboration. Our goal is to transform the connections between people and the information they need to share, between the physical and digital, - locally and globally.

What you will do 

  • Join an enthusiastic, high-performing team
  • Understand our customers and end users across the world, and preserve their perspective when helping define project definition and scope
  • Bring design concepts to beautifully crafted high-tech products through cross-functional team-work
  • Secure the end-to-end experience for customers, including installation and packaging solutions
  • Contribute to our design process and principles, and coordinate design work
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations on existing products
  • Work closely with other industrial designers, visual designers, service designers, UX designers, product managers and engineers in the process of building the right products and user experiences
  • Contribute to evolving a coherent industrial design language across Cisco’s Webex brand

Who you are

  • An ambitious industrial designer who loves to make the complex simple, and have the ability to effortlessly flex between the bigger picture, concrete problems and attention to detail
  • You put people, their real needs and experiences first, and have a deep understanding of design methodologies, processes and principles
  • You have strong conceptual and analytical skills and are a strong form-giver
  • You are self-propelled and not afraid to take lead responsibility
  • You are a real team player who communicates clearly and effectively, engage people around you and promote a constructive environment for creative exploration and product development
  • You are up to date on trends and theory within the profession, and passionate about design, technology and human collaboration

You will be a part of the Webex Devices Design team. We are dreamers and doers who aren’t afraid to challenge, and we work closely with engineers and product managers in our Oslo office.

Required qualifications

  • Master’s degree from relevant design education
  • Practice in experience driven design and leading design processes
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Up to date on trends and theory within the profession
  • Ability to live and work in Norway
  • Must be fluent in English

Start date: August 2020 (but this can be discussed)
