Danske Bank Credit Research is looking for an ambitious First Year Analyst to join our Credit Research team in Oslo. Our team works closely with Debt Capital Markets (DCM), serving both investors and issuers of corporate bonds.

Your role
In the role as a Credit Research Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis of both Norwegian and international customers in connection with new issues in the bond market. You will assess financial risk, business risk and environmental, social and governance (ESG) risk of the companies you cover. You will convey your credit analysis vocally and in writing on regular basis. You will have a direct dialog with the management of the companies for which you are responsible, and with institutional investors in the Nordic countries and in the rest of Europe.
The First-Year Analyst programme
The analyst will enroll in Danske Bank’s First Year Analyst programme. The program provides personal and professional training activities, and enables networking with other junior analysts and key decision makers in the bank.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with good analytical skills and with a genuine interest in both financial markets and analysis of the companies whose debt is traded in the financial markets. The candidate we are looking for has good analytical skills, is well-spoken and has an interest in writing. The analyst is a team player while carrying a strong sense of personal responsibility.
You have a strong academic background with a M.Sc. in economics, finance, mathematical economics, engineering or a related study with an excellent academic record. Prior experience of financial analysis - credit research, equity research or other relevant areas - is a positive but no prerequisite. The analyst will work extensively with Excel, so prior knowledge with the tool is beneficial.
