About the opportunity

Longship is seeking interns to join us full-time in Oslo for a duration of 6 – 12 months in 2026 and 2027. The internship will be a great opportunity to learn about private equity while working closely with a team of experienced investment professionals at one of the most active funds in the Norwegian lower middle market. You will play an important role in the team, taking responsibility across the investment life cycle, including the deal sourcing, investment, and value creation phases. The internships are set to commence in August 2026 and January 2027. We may also consider starting an internship in January 2026. 

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and conducting research, valuation, and financial modelling on potential acquisition targets
• Contributing throughout the investment process (sourcing, due diligence, exit)
• Assisting deal teams in developing our portfolio companies across a variety of sectors and geographies
• Attending meetings with investment bankers, lawyers, consultants, boards and management teams

Our ideal candidate                                                                           

• Has experience from at least one previous internship in investment banking, consulting or private equity
• Has completed a bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic results
• Has a strong drive, excellent communication skills, integrity, and a humble personality
• Shows a genuine interest in business and investments
• Is fluent in both Norwegian and English
